Training of community interpreters

We have provided a significant support to the training of community interpreters in the Czech Republic. Currently, we are trying to introduce a comprehensive system of their recruitment and training. Successful graduates receive our positive reference and are included on our organization’s list of recommended intercultural workers.

The training of interpreters consists of a theoretical-practical seminar finished by an exam, mock interpreting, supervision, and mentoring. Positive references may be obtained at any stage depending on the skills of the graduates.

  • the role of the community interpreter
  • intercultural issues in interpreting
  • vocabulary related to individual areas of integration
  • practice and mentoring
