Intercultural work in our organization
We have been organizing motivational meetings and courses for intercultural workers for a long time. We have also encouraged negotiations on the establishment of intercultural work as a new profession among interested Czech associations and ministries. Would you like to learn about the content of our training in the specific areas?
The terms intercultural work, mediation etc. have been used for a rather long time not only abroad, but also in the Czech Republic. Our organization has stimulated negotiations on the establishment of intercultural work as a new profession through negotiations among interested Czech associations and ministries.
We have organized several motivational meetings and courses for intercultural workers in Bohemia and Moravia and we have trained the intercultural workers in the following areas:
- court interpreting
- community interpreting
- translation activities
- training activities in the field of intercultural work
- training activities in the field of teaching Czech language to children and adults
- intercultural assistance
- intercultural mediation and facilitation.
We start the training of intercultural workers with lectures and seminars and later on the intercultural workers take an exam including a practical demonstration of gained skills in the field and in real situations. The participants of the training receive specific recommendations in order to increase the efficiency of their activities and their professionalism. Later on, those interested in continuing the cooperation take part in an intensive mentoring programme which may last from several weeks to years, depending on their needs. Those participants who according to us are able to practise intercultural work receive a positive reference from our organization. They then decide whether they wish to continue working with us or not.
Thanks to our trained associates, we are able to offer services related to intercultural work.
